I’ve had this friendly debate with some of my friends about how soft kids are getting these days.  I know I sound like a 60 year old man rambling on about walking to school both ways, barefoot…in the snow…uphill, but the truth is that I rode the bus to school.  I waited at the bus stop with all the other kids, rain or shine.  That’s the truth.

Wilmar sent me a photo he got of a school bus in Venezuela and it definitely would make me rethink riding the bus to school.  This is School Bus Hoopty Hunting at its best.  Check it out…

Would you let your kids ride that thing?  Maybe not.  Now, I have seen some crazy school buses before…

But that crazy bicycle school bus takes the cake.  It actually looks more like a medieval paddy wagon rather than a vehicle to get kids to school.  I was able to find one worse than that though…

This might go to the Ideal Public School, but it's certainly not the Ideal School Bus!  (Would love to visit that Ideal Public School, by the way.)  Now that’s hard living for any kid.  I think we’re spoiled in this country with our great big bright yellow buses.  So, why don’t more kids ride our buses?
