Cycling advocacy aimed at improving riding conditions in our communities is important for all of us whether you commute to work or race your local criterium. We all benefit from the improvements that are made to cycling infrastructure around the country. Hincapie Sportswear encourages you to do your part locally to improve cycling conditions in your area.

One such opportunity is coming up next Tuesday, March 15 @ 6pm right here in Greenville, SC. The City of Greenville and the BMP Planning Advisory Committee have been working with Alta Planning + Design to develop a Bicycle Master Plan for our community. The second and final public meeting regarding the Bicycle Master Plan will be held on March 15 @ 6pm at the Hughes Main Library in the Heritage Green Campus in downtown Greenville. We encourage you to come out and support this activity if you’re available in our area. This is our plan and we can and should provide the necessary input to make sure it fits our needs.

You can find out about this type of activity in your area as well by staying up to date with the League of American Bicyclists and Alta Planning + Design. These two organizations are working on cycling advocacy all over the country. Do your part and get involved to improve conditions in your area.
