We want to share an important ride with you on November 14, 2010 at Hincapie Sportswear HQ. We’re hosting a ride to benefit our longtime friend Mark Knights. Mark is battling cancer and needs our help in his fight. There will be riding and food and a silent auction. George Hincapie is going to be there to help out his friend in his time of need, so put this on your calendar and saddle up for a really great cause. If you can’t make the ride, you can make donations in several ways. We hope that you will join us on November 14th at Hincapie HQ.

Our friend and expert bike mechanic, Mark Knights, needs our help. In March, Mark was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He had surgery to remove the football-sized tumor, and is now undergoing chemotherapy. Mark has extensive medical and pharmacy bills and has not been able to return to work full-time. On Sunday, November 14, there will be a benefit bike ride beginning at Hincapie Sportswear, for a small $20 donation. We will have 30 and 56 mile ride options. Big George Hincapie will join us for the longer ride. A silent auction will also be held to raise additional money for him. Food and fun after the ride... so even if you can't make the ride, come hang out after!
Route Info: We will be heading north from Hincapie, out Old Buncombe, take the frontage road in front of Walmart and weave our way out to North Greenville College. From there we will head up and over Callahan Mtn, down Camp Old Indiana and then work our way back towards town. Cue Sheets will be provided. If you want to skip Callahan, just turn around at the end of Tigerville Road. We will have roaming tech support and nutritional support if needed.
